About this Collection

This volume collects the first arc of the post-apocalyptic superhero series set in the same world as Irredeemable. It follows the former villain Max Damage as he attempts to become a hero after a catastrophic event, struggling with his newfound moral compass and the chaos left in the wake of the Plutonian's rampage. Written by Mark Waid with art by Jean Diaz, the story explores themes of redemption and the blurred lines between good and evil.

Incorruptible #1 kicks off with a high-stakes bridge standoff when Jailbait and Max Damage’s henchmen are ambushed by police—only for Damage himself to reappear, saving Lt. Armadale in a sudden, unexpected turn. Written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Jean Diaz, with inks by Belardino Brabo and colors by Andrew Dalhouse, the story unfolds with sharp tension as Damage burns his ill-gotten gains and declares a new path. The cover by John Cassaday captures the moment’s gravity, setting the tone for a tale where redemption isn’t a given, but a choice.

A van driven by Jailbait, sidekick of notorious supervillain Max Damage, carrying three of his henchmen is stopped on a bridge by the police. During the ensuing firefight, Damage — who hasn't been seen in months — leaps into action, saving the life of Lt. Armadale and helping apprehend all but Jailbait. Damage brings Armadale back to his hideout, where he torches millions in stolen loot and vows to go straight.
