A firefighter bound with rope sits across from a sharp-eyed young kid in a cap, the two locked in a tense standoff while flames and a blazing, fire-wreathed figure rage all around them — and a small dog crouches at their feet, seemingly unfazed by the chaos. It's a wonderfully strange tableau that sets the tone perfectly for "The Tragic and Terrible Tale of Pip 'Pranky' Peabody!" — a title that promises something equal parts darkly funny and genuinely unsettling. Geoff Johns, Ivan Reis, Danny Miki, Brad Anderson, and Rob Leigh are bringing their considerable talents to this Image series, and issue #2 already looks like something you won't want to miss.
