Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas #2

Troy Little's cover for this second issue of IDW's adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's gonzo masterpiece is a wonderfully unhinged snapshot of chemically enhanced paranoia — a wild-eyed, green-tinged figure clutches a serrated knife in a dripping bathroom while a disembodied hand thrusts a cassette tape labeled "White Rabbit" into the foreground. The tiled walls seem to sweat and melt around him, capturing that particular flavor of late-night Vegas dread with equal parts dread and dark comedy. Little's cartooning brings Thompson's hallucinatory world to vivid, queasy life in this 2016 IDW release.
