Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas #3

IDW's comics adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas roars into its third issue with a cover that captures the gonzo spirit perfectly — a wild-eyed figure triumphantly raising a fist from the seat of a red Chevrolet convertible, hat flying and detritus scattering in its wake, aimed straight at the iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada" sign. The whole chaotic scene is set against a street map of Las Vegas, a clever visual that grounds the mayhem in a very real, very strange city. Troy Little's energetic artwork makes this one of the more visually inventive comics adaptations to come out of 2016.
