Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas kicks off with a cover that captures the story's hallucinatory spirit perfectly — a sunglasses-wearing, cigarette-holder-clutching figure sits casually amid a swirling nightmare of grotesque, wide-jawed monsters looming from every direction, drink in hand and apparently unbothered. Troy Little's cover art leans into the gonzo chaos with loose, feverish linework and a sickly green palette that feels like a fever dream given form.
