The fourth and final issue of this 2013 Marvel limited series delivers a striking cover by Adi Granov: a determined young hero kneels over a fallen armored figure amid a scorched, rubble-strewn landscape, while an enormous, hat-wearing silhouette looms in the blinding light behind them — the scale alone conveying an almost overwhelming sense of threat. Tied into the Age of Ultron Aftermath, the series brings together Joshua Hale Fialkov's writing with Leonard Kirk's art and Jesus Aburtov's rich coloring for a cosmic story with real stakes. It's a satisfying capstone to a series that wasn't afraid to think big.
