Howard the Duck #2

Howard the Duck's sardonic tagline — "Trapped in a World He's Grown Accustomed To" — sets the perfect tone for this 2015 Marvel gem, written by Chip Zdarsky with cover art by Joe Quinones and Joe Rivera. The cover packs in quite a crowd: a grumpy Howard front and center, flanked by Rocket Raccoon snarling below, Gamora looking coolly unimpressed, a blonde human ally, and a looming monstrous figure lurking in the shadows above. It's a gleefully absurd ensemble that promises "Hireable Heroes" will be anything but a slow week for everyone's favorite ill-tempered duck.
