House of Mystery #179
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe dare is issued right on the cover — "Do You Dare Enter the House of Mystery?" — and Neal Adams makes the case for caution with this deeply unsettling 1969 image: a shadowy figure crouches on a rain-slicked balcony while a bolt of lightning illuminates a swirling, spectral form rising ominously above the rooftop. Adams' moody green palette and crackling linework give the whole scene a dread-soaked atmosphere that perfectly captures DC's anthology horror at its most atmospheric. Inside, Howie Post's "Sour Note!" awaits anyone willing to step through that door.
