House of M #3
The third chapter of this eight-part Marvel limited series drops readers into a world where a street sign reading "Mutant Ave" says everything about how thoroughly reality has been reshaped. Esad Ribić's cover captures the tension perfectly: a wild-eyed Wolverine leaps from a red motorcycle amid shattering glass and urban chaos, claws extended, while Spider-Man swings above the skyscraper-lined streets below. With Brian Michael Bendis writing and Olivier Coipel on interior art, House of M #3 keeps the pressure on as two of Marvel's most recognizable heroes navigate a world that feels just familiar enough to be deeply unsettling.

Wolverine, confused at this new world he finds himself in, leaps from the SHIELD helicarrier trying to find some answers. He reads an issue of "The Pulse" which seems to be a celebrity mutant tabloid. He finds X-Mansion occupied by a normal couple. He tries to get into Stark Tower to talk to Tony but his SHIELD unit catches up with him and tries to bring him in. He escapes into Cloak's cloak where he is teleported to the location of the human resistance movement led by Luke Cage. Luke tells him to destroy the SHIELD tracker at the base of his skull or Hawkeye will destroy it for him.
