As Dennis tries to bond with his niece Kelly in his final hours, Hammerhead returns and attacks the neighborhood. Flux holds him off until the Avengers arrive. Afterward, the Avengers ask Flux to join the team and he agrees. Soon after the fight, Dennis collapses and dies with Abbey and Kelly at his side. A statue is erected in his honor: "Given one month to live. Used every minute."
