“World War Hulk, Part Two: Subjugation”

Part of Marvel's 2007 World War Hulk crossover event, this issue of Heroes for Hire plunges two women — one in a striking red outfit wielding a staff, the other in white — directly into a surging mass of snarling, yellow-green creatures that press in from every direction. The sheer weight of the horde makes the cover feel genuinely overwhelming, and Takeshi Miyazawa's linework captures both the chaos and the defiant energy of the two fighters refusing to go down without a fight. "Subjugation" is right there in the subtitle, but these two clearly haven't read that memo.
