Hero Camp #3

The third issue of Image's Hero Camp puts its bespectacled young protagonist in a tight spot — literally — as a horned, shaggy creature clutches him in a firm grip, the two of them perched right on the tongue of an enormous, fang-lined maw that fills the background. It's a wonderfully absurd image that captures the series' mix of superhero-kid adventure and creature-feature fun. If you like your coming-of-age stories with a healthy dose of monsters, this one delivers.
