Hero Camp #2 from Image Comics delivers a playful yet menacing cover: three stocky, pointy-eared creatures in matching dark suits advance with clenched fists crackling with energy and glowing power, while a pair of hapless humans — one in an orange shirt, one in light jeans — lie sprawled helplessly on the ground behind them. The tongue-in-cheek premise of superhero kids at camp clearly has no shortage of colorful villainous opposition, and this cover does a great job of selling the fun, slightly offbeat tone the series promises.
