Hellverine #9

The cover of Hellverine #9 makes a striking impression: a flaming-skulled, clawed figure — the Hellverine himself — stands triumphant atop a massive fallen demon, adamantium claws gleaming through the fire, while a towering horned demon lord looms ominously in the background and lesser hellish creatures prowl the shadows on either side. It's a vivid composition by Kendrick "Kunkka" Lim, whose painted rendering gives every snarling beast and lick of flame a visceral, almost mythic weight. Benjamin Percy, Raffaele Ienco, and Federico Valenza bring this hellish corner of the Marvel universe to life in what looks to be an intense chapter of the series.
