Hellblazer #71
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeGlenn Fabry's cover for this November 1993 issue is a genuinely unsettling piece of work: a skeletal RAF pilot in decayed flight gear and oxygen mask grips the controls of his plane, a British roundel looming behind him as ghostly aircraft silhouettes drift through the sky above. The image pairs perfectly with the story title "Finest Hour," evoking wartime sacrifice twisted into something far darker and more haunting. Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon were deep into their celebrated Hellblazer run by this point, and this issue promises the kind of emotionally charged, supernatural storytelling the series did so well.
