A pale, ghostly figure — arms wrenched upward as if pinned or crucified — emerges from a churning darkness framed by streaks of deep crimson, making Kent Williams's painted cover for this February 1991 issue one of the most unsettling images in the series' run. Jamie Delano and Steve Pugh bring their singular vision to "Boy's Games," and the cover's atmosphere of helplessness and dread sets the tone beautifully. If you appreciate horror comics that treat their readers as adults, this one belongs in your collection.
