Issue seven of DC's nine-issue Hammerlocke series closes in on a gripping moment: the cover, penciled by Chris Sprouse and inked by K. S. Wilson, puts the blue-clad, yellow-eyed villain Phade front and center, mouth open in a snarl as debris explodes outward around him — a visual punch that earns the bold tagline "Phade Hits the Wall!" A small inset panel in the upper left hints at another figure bracing for the confrontation to come. Titled "With the Enduring Dead," this 1993 entry promises high tension as the series barrels toward its conclusion.
