Hack/Slash #7
Image Comics' Hack/Slash #7 delivers the horror-soaked tension this series does so well, with a Cover A by Daniel Leister depicting a grotesque, decaying creature looming over a sleeping young woman in bed — a bedside clock and scattered newspaper adding an unsettling sense of ordinary life interrupted. The composition is tightly framed and genuinely creepy, capturing that slasher-film dread the series channels so effectively. "Fame Monster Part 2" promises to push the story further into dark territory, with Tim Seeley writing and Leister handling both pencils and inks on the interiors alongside colorist Mark Englert.
