Paul follows a tip about secret germ warfare materials being produced at a nearby military installation and finds himself in the middle of a spy's attempt to steal the materials. He's rescued by a strange alien being, but his editor doesn't believe the story that Paul writes. The alien reappears and takes Paul to his space ship.
