Guardians 3000 #2
Dan Abnett reunites with the far-future Guardians in this 2015 Marvel series, with an Alex Ross cover that plunges readers straight into cosmic chaos — a star-spangled figure deflects a barrage of energy beams while teammates open fire in the background, all framed against a sweeping alien landscape and the looming, monstrous face of a massive threat. Gerardo Sandoval handles interior art with colors by Edgar Delgado, and the story's title, "My Aim Is True," promises that someone's about to hit their mark. If you're looking for large-scale space-opera action with some serious firepower on display, issue #2 makes a strong case for itself right from the cover.

The Guardians learn that Geena can perceive when the timestream has changed. When the Hideaway Parliament is attacked by the A-Sentience, they send the Guardians away to figure out the problem with time, but the heroes are still pursued by the A-Sentience, apparently related to the Guardians' old enemy The Stark.
