Groo Meets Tarzan #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe concluding chapter of this delightful 2021 Dark Horse crossover brings together two of comics' most beloved adventurers, and the cover by Sergio Aragonés and Tom Yeates captures the unlikely pairing perfectly — a steely-eyed Tarzan armed with bow and arrows stands back-to-back with the stocky, sword-wielding Groo, while prehistoric dinosaurs and pterodactyls swarm around them and Groo's faithful dog Rufferto looks on with characteristic bewilderment. It's a genuinely charming collision of heroic pulp adventure and irreverent humor, rendered with real craft and warmth. Fans of either character will find plenty to savor in this final issue.

Last issue, Groo aimed to help Tarzan raise an army to defeat the slavers by traveling back through the cavern passages to Ungara to round up more fighters - but, by the time he arrives, he's more interested in food than fighting. Rufferto herds together a band of warriors and prompts Groo to lead them back to Tarzan - to great tumultuous effect. A horde of cosplayers from Comic-Con storm Safari Land to find and rescue Sergio Aragonés, who had been wandering lost in the decrepit animal park since issue #1.
