Groo Meets Tarzan #3
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe unlikely crossover of the century rolls into its third chapter as Sergio Aragonés and Thomas Yeates deliver a cover bursting with jungle chaos — Groo charges forward brandishing his twin swords, his dog Rufferto at his heels, while a powerfully built Tarzan stands his ground amid lush foliage with a lion at his side and a crowd of bewildered onlookers scrambling in the background. The contrast between Aragonés's rubbery, comedic Groo and Yeates's classically rendered Lord of the Jungle makes for a wonderfully absurd visual collision. Dark Horse's 2021 miniseries continues to feel like a genuine labor of love from an all-star creative team.

Still lost within the far reaches of a run-down California safari park, Sergio Aragonés is now covered in smelly garbage and wearing a dead raccoon's skin around his waist. Mark Evanier resumes the search for Sergio now aided by Candy Brown. In Pal-ul-don, Tarzan takes-out the trio of armed slaver scouts from the end of last issue, with only marginal "help" from Groo. Groo, wishing to help Tarzan raise an army to defeat the slavers, travels back through the cavern passages to Ungara to round up more fighters - but, by the time he arrives, he's more interested in Ungara's "wonderful food".
