Grifter #5

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Grifter #5 brings writer Nathan Edmondson and cover artists Scott Clark and Dave Beaty together for what the cover boldly announces as a "Daemonite Deluge." The cover depicts Grifter — his red bandana mask and blond hair unmistakable — leveling a pistol while a fierce, athletically built woman fires her own handgun beside him, both of them wreathed in crackling blue energy that suggests something far more dangerous than a standard firefight. It's a kinetic, two-guns-blazing image that makes this March 2012 issue hard to put back on the shelf.
