“Superhuman Trafficking Part One”

In "Superhuman Trafficking Part One," Green Lanterns #40 delivers a gripping mystery rooted in the everyday lives of lesser-known heroes. After aiding flood victims, Simon and Jessica dive into the strange disappearance of Night Pilot—once a brief love interest of Simon—only to uncover a chilling pattern: a string of under-the-radar heroes have vanished, all connected by their use of the Caper app. Written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Barnaby Bagenda, with inks by Mick Gray, colors by Ulises Arreola, and letters by Dave Sharpe, the issue blends grounded character moments with rising tension, all framed by Will Conrad’s sharp cover art.

After helping to rescue flood victims, Simon and Jessica investigate the disappearance of Night Pilot, a little known super-heroine whom Simon dated briefly after meeting her on the super-hero dating app Caper. They soon learn that a number of lesser known heroes have also disappeared, and the one thing that they have in common is that they have all used the Caper app.
