Green Lantern: Rebirth #3

Feb 2005 · DC · 2.95 USD; 4.50 CAD
“Yellow”

In "Yellow," the third issue of Geoff Johns' landmark *Green Lantern: Rebirth*, Kyle Rayner stands apart as the last uncorrupted Green Lantern, racing to the JLA Watchtower to warn Green Arrow about the true source of Hal Jordan’s corruption. With Hal’s mind torn between the Spectre and the ancient entity Parallax, and the League in chaos, Kyle’s revelation is met with a shocking betrayal—Sinestro himself steps forward, claiming responsibility for Parallax’s return. Ethan Van Sciver’s dynamic art, rendered in bold inks and vivid colors, captures the escalating tension, while the cover by Van Sciver alone sets the tone for a story that redefines the Green Lantern mythos.

As Kilowog fights Ganthet for Hal Jordan's corpse and John attacks the JLA, Kyle, who retains control of his own mind unlike his other fellow Green Lanterns, journeys to the JLA Watchtower and reveals to Green Arrow the truth about Parallax, and explains how the evil entity came to possess Hal Jordan. As Hal fights a losing battle for control of his soul against both the Spectre and Parallax, Sinestro surprises Kyle and Ollie and reveals that he is responsible for the resurgence of Parallax.
