Green Lantern Corps #52
Part of DC's 2010 "Brightest Day" initiative, Green Lantern Corps #52 brings the "Revolt of the Alpha-Lanterns" to its conclusion under writer Tony Bedard and artist Ardian Syaf. The cover — penciled by Syaf and inked by Vicente Cifuentes — frames the confrontation perfectly: Ganthet, his Green Lantern ring blazing with emerald energy, stands his ground against a looming Cyborg Superman, whose half-skeletal, half-mechanical face twists with menace as he lunges forward. It's a striking visual showdown between one of the Guardians' own and a relentless cybernetic villain, making this a satisfying capstone to the arc.
