Green Lantern #75

Green Lantern strains against an unstoppable cosmic force on Gil Kane's striking cover to issue #75, crying out "I can't stop the collision!" while panicked civilians flee on one side and a group of costumed alien figures scramble on the other — all beneath the dire proclamation "Earth Will Die!" It's a wonderfully tense snapshot of Hal Jordan pushed to his absolute limit, the kind of planetary-scale stakes that made DC's 1970 output so gripping.
