Green Lantern #61
Part of DC's 2011 "Brightest Day" crossover, Green Lantern #61 promises intensity right from its Gary Frank cover, which depicts Hal Jordan — green ring glowing — squaring off against a snarling Red Lantern and the towering, skeletal-faced entity known as the Butcher, whose fiery red tendrils dominate the scene. The tagline "The Butcher Revealed!" makes clear this issue puts that fearsome being front and center. With Geoff Johns writing and Doug Mahnke on interior art, "Seeing Red" looks to be a charged chapter in the ongoing emotional-spectrum saga.
