Green Lantern #13

Part of DC's New 52 initiative and the "Rise of the Third Army" crossover, this 2012 issue puts a determined Green Lantern front and center — ring blazing with green energy — as a horde of pale, swarming Third Army creatures surges behind him in a scene rendered with intense force by cover penciler Ivan Reis and inker Oclair Albert. Another figure, partially visible to the left in orange-hued costume, hints at the larger cast caught up in this conflict. With Geoff Johns writing and Doug Mahnke on interior art, "Actions and Reactions" looks like a gripping chapter in one of DC's most ambitious 2012 storylines.
