This anthology issue contains two stories. "The Story Behind the Cover" details how two Nazi fugitives discovered an abandoned uranium mine and attempted to extract radium with the aid of German scientists operating undercover in the United States; journalist Lenore Case photographs a glowing figure on a New York street and alerts Brit Reid to the plot. The "Twinkle Twins" story features the twin characters at a circus where an evil villain named Zoviano has hypnotized the world's greatest lion Tamer, and uses midgets disguised as soldiers to infiltrate enemy lines during wartime operations.
