The composition by Dan Jurgens and Dick Giordano perfectly frames the tension of Part 1 of "Coyote Tears," setting up a wilderness adventure that feels as remote and atmospheric as the Alaskan landscape behind it. Mike Grell's mature-readers series was delivering some of its most grounded, naturalistic storytelling in 1990, and this cover promises more of the same.
