Green Arrow #27
A weary, crouching Green Arrow huddles in a gritty alleyway, his arrows and a sword crossed before him as a mysterious dark figure looms on a rooftop against a full moon — Dan Jurgens and Dick Giordano's cover sets a brooding, street-level tone that feels a world away from superhero spectacle. The tagline "Enter the Lost World of Green Arrow" promises something raw and urban, very much in keeping with Mike Grell's mature-readers direction for the series. Issue #27 is a compelling snapshot of Oliver Queen at his most vulnerable and watchful.
