Peter Milligan's Vertigo series continues its blood-soaked reimagining of Greek tragedy with issue #9, "The House of Pain" — the third chapter of the Cassandra Complex arc. Davide Furnò's cover art says everything about the series' tone: an ornate, gore-slicked knife dominates the foreground against a wash of crimson spatters, while a ghostly classical statue looms in the blue background, pierced by an arrow. It's a striking visual collision of ancient myth and visceral modern dread, with interior art by Davide Gianfelice.
