Peter Milligan's modern reworking of Greek tragedy continues in this 2010 Vertigo entry, "Cassandra Complex, Part Three: Unburied Dead." Davide Furnò's cover splits the composition beautifully between two worlds — a striking teal-and-gold woman wearing a star ornament dominates the right, while ghostly classical friezes and a crouching, hooded figure flanked by a standing woman in ancient dress haunt the left in muted purples. The tension between the mythological and the contemporary feels immediate, making this a compelling visual statement for the series.
