Peter Milligan's modern reimagining of Greek tragedy continues with this October 2010 Vertigo entry, closing out the Ajax arc with a cover by Davide Furnò that radiates dread and mythic weight. A helmeted soldier stares out in wide-eyed horror, surrounded by a swarm of red-robed, blank-masked figures, while below him a classical amphitheater looms over a bloodied, fallen body. It's a striking collision of the ancient and the contemporary — exactly the kind of unsettling imagery that makes Greek Street one of Vertigo's more ambitious mature-readers series.
