Written by Denny O'Neil and illustrated by Joe Staton, with inks by Frank McLaughlin and colors by Adrienne Roy, the cover by Dick Giordano captures the tension of this pivotal journey.
In "Sinestros Geheimnis!", Grüne Leuchte tracks Sinestro to his homeworld, where he encounters Hal Katma Tui—whose knowledge of the Null-Kammer offers a dangerous lead. Though the abtrünnige Leuchte has set a trap, Katma Tui intervenes to save Hal Jordan, leaving Sinestro free to escape.
In "null," Grüne Leuchte tracks Sinestro to Quard, where weapon masters forge him a new power ring. Through the portal, a small boy named Fabian slips through, and though Hal can’t stop the ring’s creation, he manages to save Fabian and bring him back to Earth.
