Adam Strange kehrt nach Rann zurück, doch seine Alanna ist nicht da. Er beginnt sie zu suchen und stößt auf Ariela - die Meerkönigin, die ihn um Hilfe bittet. Ein mechanisches Ungetüm bedrohe ihre Unterwasserwelt. Gerade als beide gefangen genommen werden und ein Roboter sie bedroht, lässt die Zeta-Strahlung nach und Adam verschwindet wieder.
