Gotham Central #6
In "Half a Life Part One," Detective Montoya finds herself at the center of a storm when a woman she arrested sues her after the suspect is freed on a technicality and then attempts to kill her. As the case unravels, a private investigator working for the plaintiff is found dead, and Internal Affairs begins to question Montoya’s conduct—especially after an anonymous photo of her and her lover appears on the precinct bulletin board. Written by Greg Rucka and illustrated with sharp precision by Michael Lark, with colors by Matt Hollingsworth and letters by Willie Schubert, this issue blends tense procedural drama with personal stakes, all framed by Lark’s striking cover.
