Golden Kamui #12

Volume 12 of Satoru Noda's Golden Kamui puts a striking, unsettling figure front and center — a red-eyed character draped in a rich crimson garment adorned with flame-like patterns, wearing a wide blue hat and a beaded necklace, and clutching an animal skull with jagged teeth while a fox's tail curls overhead. The wintry, pale landscape behind them only sharpens the menace and theatricality of the pose. Ki-oon's seinen line continues to deliver one of manga's most visually bold series with this 2018 French-language edition.
