Godzilla #5

The cover of this 1995 Dark Horse issue says it all — Godzilla, jaws wide and claws raised, finds himself in the grip of a massive insectoid creature called the All-Terraintula, whose multi-eyed armored body looms over the King of Monsters in an impressively unsettling close-up. Cover pencils by Kevin Maguire and inks by Arthur Adams give the confrontation a real sense of scale and menace. With "Make Way, Godzilla" blazoned across the top, this opening chapter of "Target: Godzilla!" sets up what promises to be a wild clash between two very different kinds of monster.
