Ghost Manor #38

Charlton's long-running horror anthology returns with issue #38, and Steve Ditko's cover sets an appropriately unsettling mood — a moonlit graveyard where a robed figure raises a torch while a monstrous, tentacled creature looms large among the headstones, its green appendages reaching toward two imperiled humans. The tagline "Visit Ghost Manor… If You Dare" captures exactly the spirit of dread that Ditko brings to both the cover pencils and inks. Inside, Joe Gill and Ditko team up on "It'll Come Tonight!" — a combination that made 1978 a fine time to be a Charlton horror fan.
