Gabby gets drafted as a temporary truant officer by Principal Duckworth and tasked with nabbing the school's most notorious hookey-player—a job made trickier when Gabby and his pal Algy track down the wrong troublemaker. What starts as a bungled manhunt in a pool hall spirals into something far more sinister when they stumble onto a criminal operation run by the very people they were chasing.

When Miss Proom insists that Gabby and his pal Peahead Wilson star in a Shakespeare production, the two teens quickly prove they're better suited for chaos than the stage—turning backstage into a disaster zone that would make the Bard himself wince. Later, when their friend needs a date for the big dance, Gabby and Peahead take it upon themselves to make him compatible with an athletic new girl named Gwen by cramming crash courses in tennis, horseback riding, archery, and golf—with hilariously exhausting results.

Gabby Hyatt and Peahead Wilson start a baby-sitting service to make some quick cash, and their first job seems like a dream when they're hired to watch a boy named Chester while his parents go out.
