G.I. Joe Declassified #2

Aug 2006 · Devil's Due Publishing · 4.95 USD
“Origin Declassified- Part 2”

In "Origin Declassified – Part 2," the G.I. Joe team’s pasts unfold in real time as each member recounts their path to joining the ranks, from Hawk and Steeler to Rock 'N Roll, Clutch, Breaker, Grand Slam, Flash, Grunt, and Short-Fuze—all amid the ongoing chaos in Sierra Gordo. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Pat Quinn, with colors by Rob Ruffolo and letters by Brian J. Crowley, the story unfolds with layered urgency as Shooter is sent into the field, her journey tied to Ace and Wild Bill—both still outside the team—before they fully become Joes. The cover, by Francis Manapul, captures the tension of the moment.

As the story continues, the Joes each tell their own origins as to how they joined the team, beginning with Hawk and Steeler, continuing with Rock N Roll, Clutch, Breaker, Grand Slam, Flash, Grunt, and Short-Fuze, as the action is still happening in Sierra Gordo. Shooter has been dispatched to the situation as Ace (not yet a Joe) takes her to a nearby chopper at an airbase, as Wild Bill (also not yet a Joe), takes her into Sierra Gordo close to the action.
