G.I. Joe #21
In G.I. Joe #21 (2010), the team races against time to stop a ship rigged with explosives, leading to a tense infiltration and a desperate fight for survival. With Wet-Suit injured and trapped alongside Keel-Haul, the Joes push through the vessel’s failing systems, deploying an EMP in a last-ditch effort—only to see the explosion unavoidable. As Cobra evacuates, the remaining Joes struggle to maintain control before the ship sinks, while those on the island brace for a looming tsunami. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Álex Cal with inks by the same and colors by Andrew Crossley, the issue’s cover by Charles Paul Wilson III captures the high-stakes urgency of the moment.
