In this gripping two-part G.I. Joe adventure, the team faces a deadly double-cross when a bunker bombing traps Snake-Eyes, Kwinn, and Dr. Venom underwater—leading Stalker, Breaker, and Gung-Ho to rally the Joes for a rescue in Rio Lindo amid a hostile takeover. As the survivors retrieve a deliberately planted briefcase meant to mislead, they unknowingly carry false intelligence back to headquarters, unaware of the Commander’s hidden strategy. The issue closes with a familiar Morse code signal echoing from the submerged bunker, hinting at a deeper game still unfolding. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Mike Vosburg, with inks by Jon D'Agostino and colors by Bob Sharen, the cover by Herb Trimpe and Steve Mitchell captures the tension in a striking, action-packed scene.

After the bunker was bombed by Baroness and Scar-Face,sinking it underwater (trapping Snake-Eyes, Kwinn, and Dr. Venom inside), Stalker, Breaker, Gung-Ho call the Joes for pickup from Rio Lindo while the country's under hostile takeover (thinking the three inside dead). The three Joes recover a briefcase left on purpose by the Commander as a ruse to trick the Joes while he continues with his real plan, and are rescued and take the false plans back to headquarters none the wiser of the real plan. The story ends with a familiar morse code tap coming from the bunker.
