The issue contains two stories: In the first, G.I. Jane sings while performing various domestic chores and later encounters military personnel at what appears to be a gate, where she is stopped for an expired pass. In the second story, "PX Pete" (subtitled "The Sergeant with a Soul"), a sergeant in a yellow uniform distributes special cigarettes at an exchange, and later offers some to Private Whirly, who plans to retrieve his glasses from Captain Johnson's quarters. A separate story titled "Girl (Pvt.) Meets Boy (Lt.)" follows Private Jane Whirly as she visits a Captain's quarters and encounters a fire alarm that sends her fleeing the building.
