About the series
During its brief 1953–1954 run from Stanhall, G.I. Jane offered a lighthearted, slapstick take on military life through the misadventures of Pvt. Jane Whirly and her fellow soldiers, including Pvt. Jill Jones and P.X. Pete Peterson. With writer Hal Seeger and artists Bill Williams and others at the helm, the series leaned into zany humor and cartoonish antics, featuring supporting players like Muggy-Doo and a Boy Cat.
