This ambitious 2009 crossover brings together Cyberforce, Hunter-Killer, the Avengers, and the Thunderbolts for the second chapter of "Gods & Monsters," written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. Stjepan Šejić's striking cover assembles a tense quartet of characters — a green-skinned, red-and-purple-haired figure commanding the foreground, a male hero crackling with blue energy at center, a fierce blonde woman in a dark costume above, and a snarling, fang-filled black creature looming behind them all. The blend of Top Cow and Marvel talent on display makes this mid-series installment a genuinely compelling showcase of what happens when two comics universes collide.
