A fishing trip goes delightfully sideways on Otto Feuer's cover for this 1947 DC humor anthology, where a wide-eyed frog and a flustered bird character sit on a riverbank as a top hat spins mysteriously into the air above them — while a couple of cheeky fish leap up from the water below, seemingly in on the joke. At 52 pages for just ten cents, Funny Stuff #21 packed a generous helping of lighthearted cartoon fun into every issue. It's a charming snapshot of postwar funny-animal comics at their most playful.
