Free Comic Book Day 2009 (Wolverine: Origin of an X-Man) #1
In "Kingdom of No," Wolverine is sent into the eerily silent fishing village of Harbordale after a commando unit vanishes—only to find the town swallowed by strange machinery and guarded by relentless robots. Written by Fred Van Lente and illustrated by Chifuyu Sasaki and Gurihiru, this Free Comic Book Day 2009 issue delivers a tense, action-packed mystery with a shocking mutant discovery at its core. The cover by Ed McGuinness and Mark Farmer captures the story’s stark, mechanical menace.
